Feed each other.

Read this short story and let it resonate with you. Who have you been feeding lately?

A Holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said, 'Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.'

The Lord led the holy man to two doors.   He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in.
In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew,
which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water.

The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful. But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths.

The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.

The Lord said, 'You have seen Hell. They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one.

There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth water. The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking. The holy man said, 'I don't understand.

'It is simple,' said the Lord. 'It requires but one skill. You see, they have learned to feed each other. The greedy think only of themselves.'

Don't let your tank run out of gas!

As I was getting my hair cut this morning, I got into a conversation with a lady about personal development , reading and listing to positive things.

She asked me how often did all those things. I responded with " That is the way i start and end my day."
I continued to tell her how important it is to be reading something positive and encouraging every morning and while on your way to work to listen to some positive tapes or cd's. Rather then listening to the news that is filled with negative things.

The lady replied " Yeah well, I just listen to it when I'm down in the dumps and really need it."

My eyes looked like they were going to pop out and my jaw dropped....

I looked at the lady and asked if I can give her a little analogy.

I said, " When you are driving your car down the road, do you wait until you car starts sputtering and shuts down because it is out of gas?

She replied, "of course not I try and keep my tank full."

" The same as you keeping your car full on fuel you have to keep putting positive fuel in yourself  so you do not 'run out of fuel per say and end up in the dumps,'" I replied.

I saw it click with her as I got a positive response from her and she began to tell me how she will be changing what she does and listens to in the mornings and evenings....

Keep your tank on full. Constantly be "at the pump."

Have a great day!
